A BDop Primer on How to Wrap Your Bars (with pictures).

TOOLS NEEDED:
1. 1 Roll BDop Bar Wrap
2. Roll of electrical tape
3. Utility knife
4. Scissors
5. Something cold to drink (not pictured)
6. Something to entertain the 2 year old who will insist on helping you.
STEP 1
1. Remove all the crap and corruption left over from previous tape jobs and roll up the bottom of your brake hoods.
2. Sip beverage.
STEP 2
1. Cut a piece of tape from the roll approximately 8cm long. Place it somewhere within reach.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 3
1. Starting at the drop, do one lap around the bar (to the inside) leaving about half a tape width of tape protruding rearward. Try to get the actual adhesive on the tape as close to the end of the bar as possible.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 4
1. Begin wrapping inward overlapping each previous width of tape by about half. Make sure the adhesive is contacting the bar and not the tape.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 4
1. Continue until you reach the brake lever. Reach over to where ever you left the piece of tape you cut in step 2 and pick it up.
2. Place this strip over the clamp that holds the brake lever onto the bar.
3. Continue to wrap the tape making sure that there are no gaps and that the clamp is not visible from either the inside or outside. This may require a few attempts.
4. Continue wrapping towards the stem.
5. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 5
1. Once you get to the point on the bar where you want the tape to stop do two more laps around the bar. Then place a strip of electical tape around the bar so that it covers the exact spot you want the tape to end.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 6
1. Take the utility knife and cut the tape, all the way around the bar, where you want it to end. You should also be cutting the electrical tape.
Be careful as you cut over cables. Also be mindful of not maring the surface of your bar by using too much pressure.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 7
1. Remove the tape that you have cut of and apply the finishing strip. Make sure the ends of the strip meet under the bar.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 8
1. Insert Bar end plugs making sure to tuck all of the protruding tape in the with it. If there are graphics on the plugs be mindful of their orientation.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
STEP 9
1. Stand and marvel at what an excellent job you've done. Try to impress this fact upon a significant other dispite their obvious lack of interest.
2. Sip beverage. Replace as needed.
