A TRADITIONAL APPROACH

Mark gives us a fine example of the DASHBOARD GENIE in a more traditional configuration.

With the clamp to the left of the stem he can center his computer on the bars and still have enough space left to clamp his DiNotte 200L headlight next to the computer for night time riding.

PROBLEM SOLVED

"A year ago, I began my training for my first triathlon and instantly became addicted. I've since made the jump into the multisport world as quickly as my fiscal limitations allow. I recently upgraded my handlebars to the FSA K-Wing. I found the flat top sections more comfortable than my previous round bar bars. This, however, came with some disadvantages; the bars could not accommodate things like my light or computer. I ditched the light, and moved the computer to the stem.

Training for my second event I purchased a wrist watch style heart rate monitor that I could use for both cycling and running. It worked well, but I found it inconvenient to check my HRM especially while in the drops or climbing.

I toyed around with strapping the watch to the bars and the stem. It just wasn't right. I am budget conscious but insist on all of my equipment functioning at maximum efficiency while keeping costs low. This is where the DASHBOARD GENIE comes in.

I came across the DASHBOARD GENIE while riding with a local cycling club. This small addition to my bicycle was exactly what I was looking for to get my HRM off of my wrist and somewhere I could easily see it. Not only has it been useful with the HRM, but it has also given me a place where I can hook a light when I'm out late. I think for the cost this has been a very useful and justifiable purchase. I would definitely recommend this product for those looking to clean up their bar space with an attractive, economical, and highly functional accessory. For those with handlebars like mine I would say it is a must!"
