The X-TREME J158 wheels are handbuilt and hand stress relieved. They are built using the most durable and aero spokes currently on the market: SAPIM CX-RAY. The X-TREME J158 wheels also uses SAPIM S.I.L.S POLYAX 14mm brass nipples.

The X-TREME J158 wheels are also unique in that the aluminum braking surface is co-molded with the carbon making a much stronger bond.

BDop Personal Experience::
I have trained and raced on the X-TREME J333 for more than 10,000km. I have a habit of not being very kind to my wheels since, I feel, the purpose of testing them is to do just that -to TEST them. My personal feeling is that these are well designed, well made and very solid wheels that never let me down.

The X-TREME J233 makes a few changes over the X-TREME J333 to make it more Clyde friendly. The spokes on the rear wheel are 12 x 12 to add a little beef to the non-drive side. The X-TREME J233 also uses a CroMo rear axle which adds a few grams but is much more resistant to damage.

This is a good, all round wheelset. It is in the middle range for weight, has solid double butted spokes for durability and used brass nipples instead of aluminum.
The STINGER has a machined braking surface for reliable and smooth braking. The Japanese sealed bearings are easily replaceable increasing the life of the wheels.
